Aegean sea might stop Turkey's and Russian plansReader comment on item: "Godless Saracens Threatening Destruction": Submitted by Admiral Peter Kikareas (United States), Mar 3, 2021 at 23:38 I have been operational in the Aegean Sea and Eastern Mediterranean and NATO for over 40 years from high appointments. I know the real dynamics as they are and not as we read them in different social media and articles written by academics. What is going on right now is fighting our own interests. The only way to stop Russia and Turkey to sail and reinforce their expansion plans is to close all the straights of the Aegean Sea. This is something that Greece can do right now by herself if we let her do it. But we do the opposite, we ask Greece to avoid any hot incident with Turkey in order to protect the southeastern flank of NATO in Europe. This together with the Green light that Trump gave to Erdogan and Russia, has brought the situation where it is right now. Germany mainly with some other Europeans do the same and support the Turkey's expansionism for their own interests and will pay for that. Greece could had already sunk more than the half of Turkey's fleet during their illegal search for gas and oil, but the liberal PM of Greece was given a different strategy, which is a treason for his country. If Greece had done this with an Alliance with Egypt and Israel and probably France, and then increase the territorial waters to 12 miles, following the international law, then the Aegean could be easily closed for all military warships coming out of Dardanelles. Then things should be much easier in Mediterranean and Middle East. The real answer is a strong close Alliance among Greece-Israel- Egypt-Jordan-Saudi Arabia-UAE and France and undertake the project mentioned above. It will need to green light and assistance of USA for a stronger backing to hold back any NATO or Russian involvement. Turkey needs to be dismantled and Kurdistan should be emerged united. I could write much more but this alone provides a strong plan to start et implemented now. .
