The Days of National Security are No Longer Considered TenableReader comment on item: "Godless Saracens Threatening Destruction": Submitted by M Tovey (United States), Mar 16, 2021 at 12:59 In certain respects, we are in agreement. The issues and tensions in the world communities today are merely morphing from former ideologies of empires into a perceived sense that if domination is the only way to obtain a sense of security in a war ravaged competition of supremacy, then one either protects against that, or in the alternative, finds an independent way to gain their own sense of domination. Independently, Russia, the Iranian Islamic Regime, Turkey, China, even North Korea, are all on a rage of empire building, all seeking their own means to dominate, or alliances of their own making in which the world must be subjugated to satisfy the mortal urge that once dominated empires, but cannot do so without bringing the scourge of self-destruction. All are suspect; all are doomed; only one survives. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
