Majority Objective of This Forum Has Always Been About Understanding Quranic PreceptsReader comment on item: Israel's Policy Should Be Victory Submitted by M Tovey (United States), May 19, 2021 at 01:20 This observer has been in ME Forum class for now more than 15 years or so and one of the more compelling arguments learned is that Dr. Pipes attempted the impossible; comprehension of the ideology that drives Islam in all of its vectors against virtually all of humanity, its own attempts at being able to lure a decidedly atheistic/paganistic oriental culture to reject the Judeo/Messianic/ Christian influences of the burgeoning discipleship of the resurrected Savior from Nazareth; but in doing so, replaced the messaging of the Torah/Nevi'im/Kethuvim with its own random teachings of Arab beginnings and later Aramaic/Syriac reinterpretations by non-Arab Babylonian philosophical observances in order to change the order of the world under Islamic auspices. Reinterpreting the Quran is not merely difficult, but as has been demonstrated by the best of scholarship that is subject to internal discrepancies, of which much that cannot be cohesively discerned except in decidedly skeptical word analyses. For that lack of moral clarity (all of the Quran that calls for destruction or subjugation of the non-Muslim world) Dr. Pipes turns to the more humane objective of suggesting the reform of not adhering to the calls of inhumanity in the Quran, but of adopting a more sympathetic reasoning which is more like what the Tanakh teaches, if properly observed. Ultimately, it is the Tanakh that will bear out its directives of obedience to the love of the Most High Eternal Sovereign. But in the meantime, if Islam 'could be moderated', then Israel would be more receptive to seeking a peace when the world cannot argue against peace for prideful empires' sake.
