What we need to keep on doingReader comment on item: Israel's Policy Should Be Victory Submitted by A very concerned reader (Australia), May 20, 2021 at 00:57 Dear Dr Pipes and readers In alignment with this thread, I wrote this comment yesterday: http://www.danielpipes.org/comments/267184 I feel that we need to keep discussing and intellectually analysing and fighting all those aberrant surats and hadiths that go against humans rights. I think it's the right thing to do and indeed, we can't stop now. That we don't see many things happening doesn't mean that they're not happening. They do. They practice their religion wherever they are. And I mentioned precisely domestic violence in my previous post because if they understand this behaviour towards women is acceptable, moreover, it's even encouraged for the sake of their family, how could we expect that they are not violent out of their homes? Who could think that growing in such a hostile environment would not impact adversely on children, even living in the West? They learn through fear, scared because of the consequences that their behaviour may bring. Our world is a reflection of what we cultivate at home. The seeds of fear, control, inequality and violence are already at their home. Do the maths. When Muslims cross out all the verses related to violence, starting with the ones towards their women, we can start talking about changes. Let's continue peacefully exposing our views. This is what makes the difference and what is needed right now.
