Let us stop lies of convenience about Islam

Dear Dr Pipes, The world leaders are scrambling to figure out how to react to the fact that Iran has elected a harliner as the president of the Islamic Republic.
The world leaders should not worry. They are already so deeply buried in half truths and lies about Islam, that no additional harm will be done if they just congratulate Iran for whatever the Islamic Republic chooses to do.

We can not change Islam and Muslim's as long as we keep apologizing for them with lies and half truth. If we want to change Islam here is the stark truth: there can be no democracy under an Islamic theocracy and Islamic theocracies must end for humans to have a chance to create a happy planet.
