American Jewish Neutrality on NetanyahueReader comment on item: Bibi, Thank You for Your Service Submitted by Robert (United States), Jun 11, 2021 at 11:07 Dershowitz rightfully defended Netanyahu regarding the criminal charges which in our democracy would be a joke; (1) influencing the the Press, (2) accepting an expensive Bottle of Wine, and (3) accepting a very expensive Cigar. At the very least, if he's not found innocent after trial, he should be Pardoned by the President. Regarding Netanyahu's long tenure in office, he is a great Israeli Prime Minister who governed through Israel's greatest Economic and International Diplomatic transformation. Whether he should stay longer in office is an internal Israeli question not for me to decide as someone living outside Israel. However, the new Change government does offer something extremely beneficial which I thing you overlook: 4 Arab Muslim votes in that government. It would be the FIRST TIME that an Arab Party would be a part of the Israeli government. Although the party bis an off-shout of the Muslim Brotherhood, it represents Bedouin Arabs in the South of Israel. It's concern is with the economic and housing issues of its constituents. Having Arabs in the Government of Israel can even add to the success of the new Arab peace partners of Israel, such as the UAE; Arab Israelis are ideal Israeli Citizens to participate in the benefit of these new opportunities opened by wealthy Arab Gulf States. The trajectory here involves the failure of the Arab Spring and the Success of the return of the Jews to their historical home in Israel-Palestine; it should be a matter of time to correct the Palestinian lie that the Jews of Israel are Occupiers and Colonizers and Ethnic Cleansers. And what better way to begin this Narrative than to have an Arab Party a part of the Israeli government?
