Campus "dialogue" is a monologue on the Middle EastReader comment on item: Debating Campus Watch Submitted by Susan Walker (United States), Sep 29, 2002 at 09:56 Dear Daniel,I saw your segment on Hannity & Colmes. I'm really glad about "Campus Watch". On many campuses the dialogue of ideas has been replaced by a monologue consisting of a litany of pro-Palestinian, pro-Arab claims and accusations that go unanswered. Recently here in Connecticut the Central Connecticut State University conducted a seminar for teachers on Middle East issues. The panelists consisted of exclusively pro-Palestinian instructors who presented maps of the Middle East from which the state of Israel was completely absent. Absent too was any discussion of Israeli merits. Israel was portrayed as the bad guy of the Middle East, and dissenting voices were silenced. The alarming tendency to stifle dissent on college campuses must be reversed. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
