The real enemyReader comment on item: Debating Campus Watch Submitted by Simon Chamberlain (United States), Oct 6, 2002 at 05:17 Dear Dr PipesI have just come back from teaching at a University in Saudi Arabia (never to return!). I want to thank you for very capably exposing the real enemy not only of Western interests but also of democracy itself. Since 9/11 the gap between the West and Islam has been exposed once and for all as has the idiocy of the Left in the West. To Arabs the only real justification for the terrorist attacks, not only in New York but for the last 30 years, has come from the Left here on our doorstep. The front line in this war is here on web sites just as this and as far as I'm concerned victory will come to those who tell the truth and stand up for basic human values. Is it not ironic that the Left stand up for dictators and feudalists? I am in favour of revoking citizenship for those amongst us who give ideological comfort to the enemies of democracy and then sending them on a one way trip to the Middle East without the cushion of American or Western citizenship so that they may come to terms with reality. That goes for the UN as well. In appreciation Simon Chamberlain Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
