The Indian experience is not very different.

Dear Dr Pipe: Reader Shmuel HaLevi's experience of living in close proximity of Muslim neighborhood in Israel is very much like the Indian experience of living near Islamic neighborhood. When you go to their neighborhoods the animosity is barely disguised, indeed. When they come to our neighborhoods they present themselves like well adjusted normal people. They sometimes even conceal their true identities to impress non-Muslim people as suitors.
