Islam is like Shark WeekReader comment on item: Why the Death Edict on Salman Rushdie? Submitted by Dave (United States), Aug 25, 2022 at 14:27 Any religion or ideology that has had a significant role in causing violence must be examined critically. This is why Islam is put under a microscope much more rigorously than many other religions or ideologies. It's why Nazism has had so many books written about it, as opposed to Hinduism or pacifism. As a general rule, people tend to be much more focused on those things that can kill them. As Samuel Johnson put it : "Depend upon it, sir, when a man knows he is to be hanged in a fortnight, it concentrates his mind wonderfully." That's why "Shark Week" is so fascinating. Notice how shark bite events are always followed by thoughtful interviews with the experts on what caused the attack, the species of shark, its dental pattern, and what can be done to prevent future attacks. That's pretty much the same routine we go through after Islamic terrorist attacks. Sharks have it a lot tougher though, because they can't blame the Zionists.
