Israeli Muslims are right about their deceptive history.

Dear Dr Pipes,

Reader Jaquelin presented a translation of the war cry of Israeli Muslims. It said:

"Jews, remember Khaybar (a Jewish settlement that signed a peace agreement between it and Muhammad's army - the agreement was broken and the Jews were slaughtered to the very last of them)."

In an ironic way the Israeli Muslims are right: any one who made a peace treaty with the invading Muslims, did not live to tell the tale.

The old times when countries could be trampled and destroyed using swords are gone now. Now the war is of pen and keyboards. The war is intellectual and Muslims are humans first and Muslim later; the Islamic appeal is pitted against the appeal of human intellect and human power to think. Islam will find it more and more difficult to maintain its subscribers. It will have to change.
