* The main plan was to trick the Jews. (Taqiyya) In one word, to cheat with an "agreement", only so that they would disarm them.

* The entire tribe (men)... were annihilated and the women raped "taken" by them.

* BTW, re the Bani-Qurayza, it should be remembered that Muhammad suggested that they convert their religion and believe in him and thus survive, they preferred martyrdom. And Muhammad's men beheaded the head of the 700 men.
