For fifty years and more the myth of a core of moderation among the Palestinians has circulated and festered and debilitated Israeli response.

Now that the Palestinians have freely selected terrorists as their leaders the Israelis can and should view terrorist acts and threats as clear justification for warlike response rather than policing response.

All rational Palestinians not wanting to get caught up in a no holds barred shooting war should spend no time in moving from the area near the border with Israel because the only rational Israeli army war plan will be to push the Palestinian population forward along with the border in the event of hostilities so as to establish a depopulated buffer zone wide enough to ensure security on the Israeli side of the current line.

People who cannot, and will not, get along need to be separated.
