First of all, you know absolutely nothing about me. I do not name call you, so please return the courtesy.

Second of all, the reason why people (not just CONSERVATIVES) bring up past history where Islam is concerned is because Islam is still practiced today in the year 2006 the way it was in the 7th century. Christianity had its reformation A LONG TIME AGO.

We don't have CRUSADES anymore, or INQUISITIONS; therefore, it is NOT pertinent to current events. The Islamists are still waging "jihad" in the name of Islam TODAY as they did centuries ago. Osama IN HIS OWN WORDS seeks to reestablish the Islamic caliphate of ancient times. Sheesh.

You might want to do some reading up on the Islamic concept of "dhimmi."
