Apathy All AroundReader comment on item: State's Terror Untruths Submitted by E. E. Michael (United States), May 29, 2002 at 18:52 American apathy not only lies with the State Department, but also with the American people in general.Shortly after 9-11 a small group of Americans in a small town in Northern California polled some money and put together an idea of a domestic and citizen run intelligence-gathering operation. A website was developed and ads went out for volunteers. Only two people joined, one of whom was a leftist who tried to disrupt the organization. The website still awaits volunteers, and the group has now gone to one-on-one recruitment, only to find that most people are too busy to protect their country and their own well being. We are doomed. www.strength-honor.com Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
