The UN Security Council headed by Terror SupporterReader comment on item: State's Terror Untruths Submitted by Judi R. Cohen (United States), Jun 6, 2002 at 18:18 The State Dept is reluctant to brand the true terrorists as such; it "makes nice" to Syria, instead of limiting its UN delegation to New York for UN business only. American envoys go to Syria to talk peace with the same groups that not only shelter the terrorists but also provide them with logistical support, and probably with weapons. The chief lesson that has never been learned at the State Dep't is that its mission is not to act as an apologist for murderers and terrorists, but to maintain relations with our allies and to assist in forcing the change or isolation of our adversaries. Regardless of who takes over, the job just ruins the man. Turns strong military men into moral equivocators. Thank God that Colin Powell was able to witness first hand the acts of terror emenating from and under the auspicies of the Palestinian Authority - otherwise, he might just lull himself into thinking that the New Arafat was unlike the one of Ma'alot, Entebbe, Munich, and the Achille Lauro
