The US Gov't Hurts the Cause by Not Naming the EnemyReader comment on item: State's Terror Untruths Submitted by Frank Luke (United States), May 30, 2002 at 19:36 An excellent article, highlighting the serious error that Washington is making. The events of September 11 took place primarily because of Washington's unwillingness to call a spade a spade. The Clinton government was more keen on garnering votes from Muslims than they were in protecting US interests. One thing that can be said in favor of fanatic Islamists is that they know who their enemies are. Those who run Washington either do not know, or are reluctant to speak up. We can only hope that though Washington has not named militant Islam as the enemy of the civilized world, they are nevertheless treating it as such, and taking steps appropriate to stop it. Had Washington been as proactive in preventing terrorism, as Bin Laden was in perpetrating it, September 11 would never had happened.
