Nice Theory, Holds no water.Reader comment on item: Intimidating the West, from Rushdie to Benedict Submitted by D Williams (United States), Oct 23, 2006 at 18:52 There is no doubt that oil money has exaggerated the effect of Islam, however, as Mohammad began his religion in the 600s, there was no money and no catalyst was created because of oil. The Byzantine Empire fell without the aid of oil money and many other civilizations to boot. Islam will not dry up and go away with the creation of good alternatives to fossil fuels. Islam has already branched into other areas of finance, and commands a throng of over 1.8 billion to fill its coffers every month. Consider that as the Muslims (a rather dedicated bunch of religious folks) give $1 a piece as tithes to the mosques, and then only a quarter of that found its way to the military branch of Islam (Al Queda, Hezbulah, the Laksar Jihad, etc., ad nauseam) then you are now talking about a military that has access to $450 million a month, and $5.4 billion a year. All this is without the use of oil. Are you afraid yet? You should be very afraid. In order to educate the populous I have repeated asked people here to read the book, "Islam's Bloody Borders". I have managed to lose my copy of this book, but it will point out many trends in the Islamic mindset. It will show that the activities of Islam have increased in the last few hundred years, and that its fanatical brainwashing tends to have deep impacts upon the host country that Islam infects. Eventually, this infection will lead to turmoil, strife and the eventual overthrow of the governing body of the country. This is a process which can take many, many years. It is a process that most of Northern and Western Europe is now undergoing. Moreover, the US is now experiencing the first stage of the infection, and has been for a number of years. The US is ripe for domination by a more dedicated people. Muslims tend to be very dedicated. They can regurgitate teachings from the Koran, and what they have been told it means, but they do very little thinking on ht subject themselves. When they reach "incorrect" conclusions they are "guided" back to the "truth" by their clerics. Islam is a religion that respects no other religion. It condemns tactics used against it, but also uses those same tactics against other. Consider if Americans protested and rioted in the streets when atheists demand the removal of prayer from the school system. Consider how inappropriate that is. Yet we as Americans, while viewing Islamic protests and riots with a certain disdain, cater to those rioting and take great efforts not to offend. Meanwhile Christianity (not religion) is being actively and effectively being stripped from every possible public place and gathering. Using a mild brainwashing technique the media in the West helps Islam to eradicate all traces of Christianity from the halls of our own country. While this is happening, Islam is the fastest growing religion in the US. I have heard some say that as many as 60% of the country is Islamic. That is ludicrous, but eventually it will happen. Consider that Islam now makes up 30% of the worlds population. Current US Islamic population is at 1%, or 3 million people. Trust me, those number are right. There are 3 million Muslims in this country. Will they heed a call to arms by Islam's head clerics? What are they willing to do in support of their religion? There are very compelling reasons to be suspicious of Islam and any Muslim's that may live near you, mainly for the reason that history has taught us, partly for the reason that current events are teaching us, but in no small or insignificant part because our very future hangs on our own knowledge of a violent and ruthless religion. Islam is a religion that is bent upon world domination. Islam is a religion that recognizes no other religion, or peoples of other faith, as legitimate. Islam calls us infidels, and many clerics have stated that the beheadings in Iraq, while unfortunate, were not in violation of Islamic law. In order to wrap this up every should get a copy of Islam's Bloody Borders, and the Satanic Verses and study these books in depth. The answers are in there if we have the courage to face the truth.
