Jihad on September 11Reader comment on item: Arguing over "Jihad and the Professors" Submitted by Arlinda DeAngelis (United States), Feb 7, 2003 at 00:41 Professor Daniel Pipes is the academic with the courage to defend the democratic Judaic Christian democratic West against the Islamic theocratic East. In the name of truth, he has put his safety at risk. He battled his way into debates when the forum was one sided in favor of Islam. He defended liberal democracy against oppressive theocracy. There was and is no other academic like him.The importance of his work is the information he brings to the public forum. Splitting hairs over what Jihad means or doesn't mean is irrelevant. The Que'ran is a badly written political and military treatise in the guise of a religious text. ...
