Dr Karim, I have been living in the west for the past 33 years. I have made many friends from all sorts of backgrounds, indeed, including the indiginous people. Go ahead and travel to Australia, the probability of you and yours being attacked is probably the same as the probability the Earth is square! You may find that some people will probably give some nasty looks if your wife is veiled or you choosing to wear a Moslim dress, but nothing past that. Good luck.
