Militant Islam and CommunismReader comment on item: A New Round of Anger and Humiliation: Islam after 9/11 Submitted by Hari Iyer (United States), Jun 11, 2002 at 15:27 ...In this respect, US and the civilized world ought to define militant Islam as an ideology that promotes violent overthrow of elected governments, just like communism did.It is usual for US immigration/tourist visa seekers to answer specific questions re their association with communist thoughts or movements, etc. Since the cold-war has ended, we need to explore add one more item; that is, if an individual believes in the supremacy of the US constitution or the supremacy of the Koran. For a muslim, Koran is supreme and as part of pan-islamic (jehad) strategy, that is, to convert everyone to submission to Islam by hook, crook or violence. In that respect, it is imperative for US congress to equate Islam to that of communism. The bottom line: If an individual believes in the pillars of Islam, which by definition, includes "Jehad" as one of the pillars, then that belief contravenes our basic faith in the US Constitution. So, someone believing in the ideals of Islam has problem of accepting the US Constitution.. Submitting....
