May he rotReader comment on item: Iraq: What's Next? Submitted by DeeDee Moxie (United States), Mar 31, 2003 at 18:57 Bravo to National Geographic for FIRING Baghdad Pete. He has, we can only hope, finally destroyed his career once and for all. DOA. Slow to come to grips with the fact his ego has overruled his intelligence, Peter Arnett has -- again, we can only hope -- used his visibility for propaganda in aid of American enemies for the last time. Ditching any pretense of journalistic objectivity this time, Peter played celebrity on Iraqi's state-controlled television to spread lies and misinformation to hurt America and its allies. May he rot in unemployment hell, discredited and despised for the black blot he smeared across all "reporters" everywhere.
