Again, I ask, where does Iran fit in with this? What sort of loyalty, if any, does Syria owe Iran? Is Syria receiving arms from Iran, and if they are, will Ahmedinejad use an Israel / Syrian war as a chance to try to destroy Israel AS HE HAS BEEN SAYING?

Or, is Ahmedinejad speaking out of his you know what?

I get the idea that Ahmedinejad feels as though the world is his oyster and that the U.S. is too tied up in Iraq to do anything about his bad behavior. If Syria and Israel go to war, will he use it as an excuse to drop a nuke? (To save Syria of course)

We all assume that he does not have one, but I wouldn't put it past him to have acquired one from someone, and he is licking his chops to be a hero. (or at least in his own mind).

Even though it may seem like apparent suicide for Damascus, the rules of "let's all have nukes and not use them" days are numbered. Sooner or later the world will be shocked when someone uses one again, and it will be all "how could this happen" and " I never thought..." and "those cowards!" and so on....

I won't be shocked if it's Israel that opens up that can of worms....
