Stopping muslims coming to the West -- reply to Bill Storey

Bill Storey wrote "The only way Muslims can become Americans is to stop being Muslims. They can be anything else, secularists, Christians, Hindus, Shintoists, Confucians, Buddhists, agnostics, even Jews, but they cannot be Muslims and be Americans. Because of that, America should end immigration of all people from Muslim countries, and do so immediately. Muslims already here should be closely watched, even if they are American citizens. Our future depends on it. Their future depends on there being no more terrorist attacks within our borders. If there are, stronger measures will be required.".

Bill:

I will even go further and do so immediately. All muslims who are in US illegally will be deported immediately -- no exceptions, period; where do they go is not our problem. All those muslims who have been here legally (including students) will be deported immediately; again where they go is not our problem. All pending applications for and asylum and citizenship from muslims will be denied without appeal or any recourse and hence will be deported immediately.

Then we must distinguish between US citizens who are muslims and were born overseas -- a special watch should be kept on them (e.g., a special database should be created for them and they must register every year) -- they should be told in plain and blunt English language, that their citizenship can be cancelled en-masse at any time, even if only some of their brethern are troublemakers. Other citizens who were born here and converted here can be tackled later on -- I have serious doubts that they will create any troubles in our society if we have taken care of non-immigrant and non-citizen muslims. Moreover, many of them may even decide to convert to other faiths which we shall welcome, even though it is unislamic to embrace any other faith.

Yes, Islam and democracy are incompatible. And let us not delude ourselves by believing otherwise.
