Kudos to you Nick. If you are Christian then i congratulate you for having criticized your religion on Old Testament. It is very hard (speaking from experience). I believe there is a anti-women verse in Bhagvad Gita. I am not spiritual, just little bit philosophical. The reason that iti is very difficult for muslims that they are given very high dose of their religion and then criticizing it is like criticizing themselves which is very difficult.
