Burning qurans vs. printing themReader comment on item: What's True Islam? Not for the U.S. Government to Say Submitted by Prashant (United States), Sep 13, 2013 at 07:03 Dear Dr Pipes, Rev Terry Jones was arrested for his attempt to burn qurans. Most Muslims have never read quran because they are either illiterate or because translating quran into world's other languages is discouraged. I think the free world should translate quran into local languages, cut CDs of its recitals in these laguages and distribute free copies of printed and spoken versions to the Muslims who have never read Qurans. Let the believers read for themselves that for every 5:31 in quran, there is a 5:32. Hindus, Buddists, Jews and Christians have spent centuries questioning their scriptures. Let the process begin in Islam as well. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
