DismissiveReader comment on item: Michael Mukasey: No to Islamic Law in the United States Submitted by donvan (United States), Nov 5, 2007 at 09:41 The mythology of Muhammed is unique. It serves no purpose to compare it to Judaism, or Christianity, or Hinduism, Wicca, Satanism, etc. The mythology of "Islam" has as its foundational dogma the notion that only through martyrdom may one gain access to the actual presence of the deity. While correct living and homage to the 'pillars' may gain paradise, only through killing or being killed of another human being may one gain access to the presence of the deity. To the pious 'Muslim' wishing to live out the completeness of the mythology, the resistence to self preservation and empathy for others, must be overcome. In order to accomplish this change, the 'others' must be demonized to the point where killing them is acceptable to the psyche. This constitutes a disordered personality, unique to Muslims, based on the internalization of the dogma of the mythology itself. Obviously not all those self identified as "Muslim" will act out the 'Martyrdom operation" , but enough have , do, and will to justify a specific and diagnosible disorder, specific to those who have internalized the mythology. By doing so, we may offer some hope for those afflicted, rationalize and sigmatize the behaviors.
