Global economy is like swiss cheese with more holes than cheeseReader comment on item: [Bureaucratic Leftism and] Globalthink's Perils Submitted by Tapart Real News (United States), Oct 20, 2003 at 00:00 Globalism and Free Trade mock history. Globalism is a new "ism" that is here without any reality or any real philosophy in history. It came on the scene mocking all that was good in history by violating human dignity in the workday. Workers are left out of any decision making process. Nations acting as power brokers, elite groupings, vast trans-national corporations and world entities like the WTO and the World Bank control the events outside any real democratic process without the consent of the workers. We see the so called free market controlled this way with countries like the USA being the board of directors in the enterprise deep into trade transactions. Free Trade is not trade at all as defined by history. Today it is based on moving factories and sub contracting workers to the cheapest labor markets. The products are now really only by-products of these actions. Workers become the commodity being put on a world trading block to compete with the lowest levels of destitute workers and even wage slave labor.Nothing good will come of this in the end. It is a race to the bottom. And history tells us what happens eventually, when the human dignity of workers is denied. Globalism breeds terrorism and wars. The real need of our times is real jobs and not wars. ... The Global economy is like an orchestra without drums. There is no real beat to it to make it work.
