The views of Dr. Pipes are not welcome in left wing CanadaReader comment on item: [Bureaucratic Leftism and] Globalthink's Perils Submitted by Jeff Bercovitch (Canada), Sep 26, 2002 at 09:41 The brave Dr. Pipes is on target, as usual. Americans are very fortunate to have someone like that who is both a thinker and a writer.Up here in Canada, Dr Pipes might not even be allowed to pass through our customs officers, given the fact that he is not a left wing socialist, he is not an appeaser of the Muslim world and not an internationalist -- that is, one who needs to seek of the views of countries like France, Russia, China and Cuba -- countries held in high regard by present and past politicians ( Pierre Trudeau, Jean CHretien) and media pundits ( Michael Harris@CFRA in Ottawa et al). At the same time, we welcome Fidel Castro ( funeral of Pierre Trudeau), Palestinian militants, Holocaust deniers and French speaking Europeans in favor of Quebec separatism and draconian language laws. Canada used to be a good friend to America and Americans ( helping Americans during Iran hostage crisis) but recent surveys have shown that a majority of Canadians supported Prime Minister Jean Chretien's opinion that Americans are partly to blame for the attack of war on Sept 11, 2001. I APOLOGIZE FOR HIS IDIOTIC VIEWS. God Bless America, her soldiers, her President and Dr. PIpes.
