'Barak, I didn't do it for this': -- An Homage to Andrew Goodman. Poem from a 1960's Civil Rights Worker

Appalled by Obama's connection and support of Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Jr. and his hateful and racist ideology, and Obama's inadequate speech attempting to rationalize that support, Roger L. Simon of Pajamas Media sought expression in a poem.

He dedicates the poem to Andrew Goodman, his young Jewish friend and fellow Civil Rights worker who was shot to death working for the Cause in South Carolina in 1964. Simon himself permanently lost total use of his left hand in the struggle for that same cause.

I thought it was very much to the point, and very moving:

The last lines are:

Barak, this isn't about generations.

Barak, this isn't about the black church.

Barack, this is about a pathological minister whose uncontrolled anger wounds his own people and keeps them down.

Barack, this is about a man who ignored that rage for his own political gain and even now won't admit a huge mistake and looks for nuance and excuses.

Barack, this is about a woman who went on scholarship to Princeton and Harvard and still hates America.

Barack, you say you want Black-Jewish reconciliation but you hung with an anti-Semite.

Barack, I didn't do it for this.
