Pfizer experiments on Nigerians, Washington post reportsReader comment on item: Conspiracy Theories Keep Polio Alive Submitted by Brian Luedke (United States), Oct 4, 2008 at 15:21 Kano's suspicion of Westerners, sadly, is not mere paranoia. As the Washington Post reported, Pfizer and other drug companies use poverty-stricken Africans as testing grounds for unproven drugs. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/story/2008/10/01/ST2008100101390.html and http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/10/01/AR2008100101381.html. It's unfortunate that Western countries have not yet outlawed this practice, just as they prescribe sex tourism in foreign countries. (Sex tourists exploiting minors can be arrested upon returning home.) This immoral activity gives credence to conspiracy theories such as those described in this Pipes article. --- Brian Luedke, AfriqueCentrale_dot_com
