Antiquated mindsets

It is unfathomable to me that there are governmental policiesor accepted behaviors in this day and age that advocate superstition over medical evidence and proven healthcare methods. It reminds me of the primitive beliefs of African tribes that taking their picture with a camera would steal their soul.
