Correcting btilly on IslamReader comment on item: Islamic Economics: What Does It Mean? Submitted by Gajibur (United Kingdom), Oct 28, 2008 at 16:21 Hello btilly I just thought i should respond to the ridiculous allegations you were making about the prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him), which i'm sure even you know are complete lies. Why is it that christians spread so much lies against Islam. Before i start refuting your allegations against Muhammad(pbuh) i would just like to make things easy for you by explaining the meaning of "pbuh", this abbreviation means "peace be upon him". Whenever muslims mention the name of any prophet we say "Peace be upon him", we don't say "peace be upon him" every single time we mention a name of a prophet but we do say it most of the time. Btilly, you said: "Sorry, Mo, you are so wrong. Abram was no Moslim. His father was a moon worshiper like the Arabs around him. He knew it was wrong so he was chosen by Jehovah to be the seed producer of Jesus. " First of all, the reason muslims call the prophet Abraham(pbuh) a muslim is because he was someone who had submitted his will to God, and according to Islam anyone who submits his will to God is called a "Muslim". Also, any religion which was revealed by God is called Islam, that's why we muslims say all the prophets of God preached Islam. Moses(pbuh) preached a religion which was revealed by God and therefore we muslims call this religion Moses preached "Islam". The religion Jesus(pbuh) preached was revealed by God and therefore we call the religion that Jesus(pbuh) preached "Islam" and Muhammad(pbuh) also preached a religion from God and therefore we call the religion Muhammad preached "Islam". All these prophets were messengers of the SAME GOD, the 1 true God whom we muslims call ALLAH. The word ALLAH is not just used by muslims but also used by Arab Christians and Arab Jews when referring to Almighty God. ALLAH is just the Arabic word for almighty God. We Muslims believe that the religions revealed to Moses and Jesus were later corrupted by their followers either intentionally or unintentionally over many centuries. But the religion preached by Muhammad(pbuh) has remained pure and uncorrupted to this day. Btilly, You said: "Muhammad was a Semite from the tribe of Joktan, people who came before Abram." Wrong again, he came from the tribe of Quraysh not Joktan, the tribe of Quraysh were revered in Arabia because they were descendants of Abraham(pbuh) through his son Ishmael(pbuh). So the prophet Muhammad(pbuh) came from the tribe of Quraysh and not from the tribe of Joktan. Btilly, you said: "God changed Abram's name to Abraham and allowed Sarah to produce Isaac. He was Abram when Ishmael was born so not chosen. Ishamael was called a wild ass and would hate the world". No doubt the Jews have been tampering with the bible in order to put down their Arab brothers, and what better way to put down the Arabs than rewriting the bible to say that God called Ishmael, the father of the Arabs "a wild ass". There are Bible scholars who say that the bible has been corrupted and rewritten due to political and tribal rivalries. When one tribe or political group came into power in ancient Israel they changed the bible to elevate their status and put down their rivals or people they hated. Maybe that is why the current bible calls the father of the Arabs a "Wild ass". Btilly, you said: "Muhammad said Arabs were the best of all men, so Allah is a racist." Where did the prophet Muhammad(pbuh) ever say this, i notice you haven't given a reference for this saying. You haven't given a reference for this saying because you know you are lying, the prophet Muhammad(pbuh) never said this. However, the prophet Muhammad(pbuh) did say the following: "All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab is not superior over a non Arab nor a non Arab is superior over an Arab; also a white is not superior over a black nor a black is superior over a white except by piety and good action."(Extract from Prophet Muhammads last Sermon). Luckily for you btilly, the prophet Muhammads last sermon is available on the internet, just type in ‘prophet Muhammads last sermon' into google, i'm sure you'll find it, Allah willing. Btilly, you said "Allah cursed all blacks people in Sura 3:106 and said blacks were created for hellfire." What a ridiculous allegation, even though the saying of the prophet Muhammad(pbuh) that i have quoted above is enough to refute this allegation, i will refute it further. The passage of the Quran which you are referring to is Sura 3 verse 106 which reads: YUSUFALI TRANSLATION: On the Day when some faces will be (lit up with) white, and some faces will be (in the gloom of) black: To those whose faces will be black, (it will be said): "Did ye reject Faith after accepting it? Taste then the penalty for rejecting Faith." PICKTHAL TRANSLATION: On the Day when (some) faces will be whitened and (some) faces will be blackened; and as for those whose faces have been blackened, it will be said unto them: Disbelieved ye after your (profession of) belief? Then taste the punishment for that ye disbelieved. SHAKIR TRANSLATION: On the day when (some) faces shall turn white and (some) faces shall turn black; then as to those whose faces turn black: Did you disbelieve after your believing? Taste therefore the chastisement because you disbelieved. I have provided 3 popular translations for you, so that you can't claim i am being deceptive in my translation. No translation of the Quran is perfect because Arabic is difficult to translate, but the above 3 translations are probably the best. As you can see, the above passage is clearly saying that on the Day of Judgement some people will have their faces whitened and some people will have their faces blackened. The people who disbelieved or rejected faith will be those who have their faces blackened on the day of judgement, these people will taste the punishment (the hellfire)of Allah. So the Quran is saying that people who disbelieved or rejected faith will have their faces blackened up, it did not say that black people or people belonging to black races will be thrown into the hellfire. If the Quran was referring to black people then why would their faces have to be blackened, aren't they already black, quite clearly the Quran is not talking about black people. The Quran is saying anyone, whether white or black, who rejected faith will have their faces blackened(as a way of showing they are doomed). The Quran also says anyone who lied against Allah will suffer the same fate: SHAKIR TRANSLATION: And on the day of resurrection you shall see those who lied against Allah; their faces shall be blackened. Is there not in hell an abode for the proud? YUSUFALI TRANSLATION: On the Day of Judgment wilt thou see those who told lies against Allah;- their faces will be turned black; Is there not in Hell an abode for the Haughty? PICKTHAL TRANSLATION: And on the Day of Resurrection thou (Muhammad) seest those who lied concerning Allah with their faces blackened. Is not the home of the scorners in hell? (Quran, Sura 39:60) Please note that "Black people" aren't really black, they are actually dark brown, there is no such thing as a black person. So whether you're European or African, if you disbelieve in Allah, Allah will truly blacken your face on the day of judgement as a humiliation and as a sign that you have earned the wrath of Allah through your disbelief. It should be noted that the prophet Muhammad had a black companion called Bilal(may allah be pleased with him), who is one of the most famous companions of the prophet Muhammad(pbuh). The prophet Muhammad chose Bilal as one of his close companions and gave Bilal the honour of being the first muslim to give the call to prayer. So btilly, do you think he was a racist now. And finally you said: "Why would a loving god do that mess? Only a pagan god from Satan in Sura 3:54... 33,500 times Islamic books say kill all non-Muslims. Is that LOVING?" Oh really, were does it say in Sura 3:54 that Allah is a pagan God from Satan, Sura 3:54 of the Quran says the following: Quran, Sura 3:54 YUSUFALI TRANSLATION: And (the unbelievers) plotted and planned, and Allah too planned, and the best of planners is Allah. PICKTHAL TRANSLATION: And they (the disbelievers) schemed, and Allah schemed (against them): and Allah is the best of schemers. SHAKIR TRANSLATION: And they planned and Allah (also) planned, and Allah is the best of planners. No where in the above verse does the Quran say Allah is a pagan god from satan, and what is wrong with God scheming against the disbelievers, especially when these disbelievers are scheming against the believers. you claim that Islamic books are constantly talking about killing non muslims, where's your proof. On the contrary, the Quran says: PICKTHAL TRANSLATION: For that cause We decreed for the Children of Israel that whosoever killeth a human being for other than manslaughter or corruption in the earth, it shall be as if he had killed all mankind, and whoso saveth the life of one, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind. Our messengers came unto them of old with clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty), but afterwards lo! many of them became prodigals in the earth. YUSUFALI TRANSLATION: On that account: We ordained for the Children of Israel that if any one slew a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people. Then although there came to them Our messengers with clear signs, yet, even after that, many of them continued to commit excesses in the land. SHAKIR TRANSLATION: For this reason did We prescribe to the children of Israel that whoever slays a soul, unless it be for manslaughter or for mischief in the land, it is as though he slew all men; and whoever keeps it alive, it is as though he kept alive all men; and certainly Our messengers came to them with clear arguments, but even after that many of them certainly act extravagantly in the land. I rest my case. I told you before in the last comment i left on this site, study Islam and study it from the Muslims.
