Eventually the Iranian nation will rise against their oppressorsReader comment on item: Assessing the Iranian Election Submitted by Michael Kurtzig (United States), Jun 14, 2009 at 12:49 It is ironic that the Iranian people moved from one oppressor (the Shah) to another (the Mullahs); which one is more heinous is hard to decipher, suffice it to say that the present oppressors are the most insidious. The elections were clearly a fraud. In a country as big as Iran and with paper ballots, how was it possible to announce results within hours of the poll closings? The face that Iran now presents to the world is likely to be even more intransigent and dangerous. However, one cannot quarrel with history and the days of the Mullahs and Ahmadinjad will come to an end; they and he are out of step with history and with the wishes of the Iranian people.
