The Iranian election puts paid the idea that democracy is necessarily a moderating influence. Both A'jad and Moussavi were embassy-occupiers and remain paranoid haters of the West and Israel. The best policy with Iran is to wait and see.
BTW. I agree with the other posters who think that Obama is naive.
