All Religions are Instruments of ControlReader comment on item: Islam and Western Militaries Submitted by Robin (Australia), Aug 16, 2009 at 09:21 All religions control. Islam controls to a greater extent. Many of the ways of Islam are foreign to those of us from free Western countries with democratic governments, freedom of speech and so on. That doesn't makes us any better, just different. I spent three wonderful years at Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates and saw three Ramadans. It was heartbreaking to turn up at Dubai and not to be able to have coffee in the malls. The hotels still provided alcohol behind closed doors (all legally), but music was banned. At the end of the day, when in Rome, do what Romans do. When a visitor in Kuwait, do what the Kuwaitis do, no matter how stupid you think it is.
