Correct... and typical of tyrants worldwide

Not just Arafat but many would prefer "their people" to remain as ignorant, poor and terrorized as they were on their birth-days. How else will they make a living pleading for their assistance if they become free independent people? For such people, the success of "their people" would be a disaster. They'd rather rule in Hell than serve in Heaven.
