Remember.

Israel is a place but also isn't it a nation, a people, a tribe, a man? I don't think that you can be Jewish and not support Israel the place, the nation, the people, the tribe, the man. In Washington D.C. we have many memorials, yet Washington was also a man, as was Lincoln. We could not support our country unless we supported the men and woman who helped bring it to being, their memory, their place on earth.

The covenant between Abraham and G_d, was what brought Israel from a man and a woman Abraham and Sarah, to Isaac and Rebekah and finally to Jacob and Rachel who became Israel and a nation.

It is not just Israel that her enemies wish to destroy, it is also the memory of Israel and the Covenant that G_d made with Abraham. It could be that those who say they are Jewish are not really Jewish because it does not make sense that they would not support Israel, and the memory of Israel, the very reason they are living on this earth. The enemies of Israel wish to wipe the Jewish People from it's face and it is our memory of Israel and it's place on this earth that will never allow it to be destroyed from our minds and from it's place on earth.

We must remember and keep the light of the earth that shone bright, so that we may no longer live in darkness. We must wish blessings for Israel so that we too can be blessed. Just as G_d did not require the blood of Issac, so too should we not require the blood of the People of Israel as her enemies do. If we forsake Israel we too will become like the desert sand dry and blowing at the whim of the wind, parched.

Without remembering the covenant made between G_d and the Hebrew People, and later the Nation of Israel, and without giving that covenant it's place on earth, we deny our Covenant with G_d and our souls will have no place to rest . Israel is for all, a blessing.
