Gross stereotypes

This is downplaying the threat of radical Islam because perhaps it helps you feel comfortable about stereotypes that you have.

a. Gandhi(not "Ghandhi") did indeed do immeasurable harm to India. you are surely aware that during the 1920s, Gandhi supported the Khilafat movement (the root cause of movements like pan-Islamism today) over and above the struggle for independence which was going on then. This reinforced the belief among Indian Muslims that they are Muslims first and Indians next, and eventually lead to a bloody partition, Pakistan (a state which defines itself by it's opposition to India) and what have you. Would global terrorism be a problem today if Pakistan didn't exist ?

b.The story that from 10th century onwards, Muslims have been coming on tourist visas and sight seeing tours surely has a place in every Islamist website. However, the truth is far more uncomfortable. Genocide of an unprecented scale took place in India. Muslim Holy Warriors have killed more Hindus than the 6 million Jews killed in the Holocaust. Ferishtha (medieval Islamic historian) mentions that Bahmani sultans (1347-1528) killed more than 100,000 Hindus, which they set as a "minimum goal" whenever they felt like "punishing" the Hindus, and this is nothing compared to the holy slaughters committed by Mohammed Ghaznavi and Mohammed Ghori (Delhi Sultanate). Islamic sources proudly give witness to such slaughters. The list of attrocities that Muslims have committed in the Indian subcontinent is heart rending and long. People who are familiar with the tactics of Holocaust deniers will know the magnitude of intellectual dishonesty that it takes to deny the suffering of Hindus for a millenium.

c. Land reforms would solve everything in Af-Pak ? Well, I'm sure Dr. Pipes could then take some pointers from your profound analysis !
