Dear Daniel Pipes,

Your message to which I am here replying boils down to Israel for its security actually needing encouragement from USA "to win its war against the irredentist Palestinians of both Fatah and Hamas."

My question to you is, what do you - in short - mean will constitute Israel having won this war? What will - in short - define such a victory?

Is it Fatah and Hamas starting to act like IRA, and bringing an end to 'irregular use of arms-/-terrorist acts' in their names?
