Why? Why else?

It's very simple. They will receive another slapdown if they'd intervene, from the global community in general and the US in particular. And like the beaten dog it is, Israel will rather have another day of tranquility, even at the cost of paying horrible interest later on. I love Israel, but the way the country is letting itself be led by the ear like a bad child is sickening. It will have to take care of business, regardless of what the current bunch of arab-lovers in the White House say.
