an opportunity missed

Destroying the missiles while in a convoy is an opportunity missed. Not so much for destroying the missiles, that can be done elsewhere, but with respect to the media effect. Pictures of 10meter long missiles destroyed on some empty road with no bystanders hurt would add legitimacy to the attack. Should Israel need to destroy them at a later time close to inhabited places there would possibly be innocent victims, the media would paint a more agressive picture of Israel.
