I have great admiration and respect for Dr. Pipes, but he has once again emphasized the obvious. I suppose sometimes that is needed. Abu Mazen (I use his nom de guerre cuz that's what poker is) holds some high cards and he's not about to cave in at this point in time and certainly not when he feels he has Obama's ear and Netanyahu is reeling from some disastrous events. Currently, the West Bank is having an economic boon so Mazen is in no immediate hurry and certainly not before the conflict between Fatah and Hamas is resolved in some fashion.
