What if everyone looks Middle eastern?Reader comment on item: [Michael Smerconish and I Debate:] What Kind of Airport Profiling? Submitted by Nick Wiesenfeld (United States), Oct 5, 2004 at 12:26 I recall my trips to Israel, where at Lod Airport nearly everyone looks Middle Eastern, I wondered what the young interviewers were looking for to uncover possible 'bad' guys.I imagine that our TSA is talking to El Al personnel. Who knows? I am not comfortable with the training the Airport TSA people have or are receiving. I don't know what they are taught, but I am uncomfortable. We need a modern day signal, one not as simple as the pronunciation difference between 'shiboleth' and 'siboleth'. In the future many tombstones will carry the inscription, "Another victim of Political Correctness". How sad!
