Role of Al qaida in arab revoltReader comment on item: Gaddafi's Fin de Régime Submitted by Sankar (France), Feb 25, 2011 at 10:48 Dear Mr. Pipes, 1. What do you think is the role of Al Qaida in the arab revolts ? Have they created it or have they taken credit for toppling totalitarian regimes across the arab world ? 2. The newer regimes that will be established eventually in all probabilities will be anti israel, anti-jew, anti semitic. Now are we going to have in future a bunch of democratic anti-semitic states instead of totalitarian anti-semitic states of today? Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate. Despite Qaddafi's accusations, Al-Qaeda is not a player in the new Arab revolt. I am hopeful that the regimes will not turn out as you describe them. << Previous Comment Next Comment >> Reader comments (34) on this item
