Sir Tobin, words are of little use but I am sincerely sorry for your loss, and that of all those who lost their lives that night.

You are correct, Gadaffi was brought back into the fold because of oil, but you must also remember the part that Tony Blair played into bringing Gadaffi back in from the cold, no doubt he has prospered personally and very well rewarded for his efforts, I do believe there are millions to be earned as a Middle East peace envoy these days.

I do hope you realise not all of us fell for the story of Megrahi having three months left to live, and was re-patriated on compassionate grounds, furthermore I hope you realise how abhorrent his release was to the British people, especially the English although we know the English played it's role along with Scotland, the whole sorry saga was an absolute disgrace, he should have died in Scotland, however with the uprising now taking place in Libya, there is one thing to take comfort in, Megrahi must be cursing the Scots for his release. I would not be at all surprised were he to turn up in Scotland with the rest of his family asking for asylum, and agreeing to go go back to his suite of prison cells, no not agreeing, actually begging to be taken back.....ahhhh what sweet justice that would be denying him asylum.
