Peace is conditionalReader comment on item: Gaddafi's Fin de Régime Submitted by Frank Luke (United States), Feb 25, 2011 at 19:29 Balarabe Abba seems confused. He has ignored the fact that peaceful citizens of Islamic nations were tormented/neglected by their islamic rulers and as a result, those citizens rebelled against their tyrannical/selfish rulers. There is no parallelism between the above scenario and the violence that Palestinians have been resorting to for decades with the intention of destroying Israel. Surely if Palestinians give up their desire to annihilate Israel, they will begin living in peace; but it seems very unlikely that Palestinians will give up their intention of destroying Israel - and as a result, peace is not very likely. Peace for Palestinians depends on their ability to accept Israel's right to exist. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
