Republicans and Democrats beholden to Realpolitik yet seek to transcend itReader comment on item: George W. Obama Submitted by Andrew Boughton (Australia), Apr 5, 2011 at 11:59 The aim of democracy is the best outcome for everyone, so of course the GOP and Democrats have the same aims in the Middle East, no less so than having been forced into this ghastly position with its intractable refugee issues, etc. The best way to ensure that happens in Israel and Palestine is to insulate the counter espionage groups within US intelligence from infiltration by Israeli and Arab agents and neutralize existing sedition, while changing the way public perceptions are shaped within the US through sheer talent and investigative prowess. And that means exposing extremists and radicals in the propaganda war. Easy to expose Arab propaganda extremists who are crude. Harder but not impossible to expose Israeli propagandists who are more subtle and have previously been protected by well meaning zealots in intel services.
