What Obama said and what he didn't say

Yes indeed, as you rightly point out, Obama said that it is Israel which must take bold action, and this is a false and prejudiced idea. He said the Palestinians must recognize Israel's right to exist, but this omits the fact that Israel exists as the Jewish state. Fatah and Hamas want to annihilate Israel because it is a Jewish state. He should have demanded that Israel's Palestinian adversaries acknowledge that Israel exists as the Jewish state not a faceless historyless identityless ME political entity. As PM Netanyahu pointed out recognition of Israel as the Jewish state is the critical point around which everything else revolves. I believe Obama is incapable of encouraging this development because ideologically he is an Islamophile.

This is the prejudice that causes him to place the burden on Israel for taking bold action. When the bold action that needs to be taken to solve the Palestinian Israeli conflict and achieve a measure of peace and coexistence is for the Palestinians to climb off their deeply imbedded Islamic Jew hatred and program of Nazi style anti Jewish incitement. There is no hope of achieving peace and coexistence with people who exhibit not one drop of good will. I personally believe their threatened declaration of statehood in the UN in September will be nothing less than a declaration of war against Israel. Everyone here says that the violence of NAKBA day and the illegal border crossings and so on are a prelude to what is expected now in September.
