Oh Look! Yet Another Failed Attempt at World Peace at Israel's ExpenseReader comment on item: Obama's Failed Middle East Speech Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), May 20, 2011 at 17:11 There is much to take the current presidential office holder to task for taking the stand made in the soon-to-be ill-fated policy speech. But before one takes that too far, it must be remembered that he did not build up to this alone. A progressive situation from the very beginning of Israel's rebirth in 1948, the various series of event and the part America played displayed certain variations of policy, from a much stronger alliance with Israel in decades past, to a process of putting Israel in the line of political fire to match the fireworks provided by Israel's more demonstrative enemies. Have we forgotten the 'Road Map to Peace?' But this current policy-making speech does nothing more than put into the open the degraded political posturing America's silent bureaucracy has been angling for in the past twenty years. Ever since the first of the 'peace pacts' that put Israel on notice that the world, led by the United States and United Nations, wants concessions from Israel on behalf of the new world order ideology, meaning that Israel does not matter anymore. Ever since the United States put the current office holder in the presidency, the extreme policy shift begged to be let loose; and now it has. Furthermore, the groundwork being anticipated for the unilateral political action anticipated for the 'Palestinians' in fall has been activated, with a no-receipt, no return to gain back what was lost in this latest policy-making speech. When Gaza was ceded by Israel in 2005, the process to gain further concessions was thought to be given a life-changing breath of fresh air, yet it became something that was eventually squandered by the 'Palestinians.' Instead of using the opportunity to demonstrate to the world that the 'Palestinian' Authority was capable of governing on its own, the process was almost immediately thwarted by the ulterior motives of those within that organization to further its stated intentions, the destruction of Israel. Remember, there has always been avowed and tacit acknowledgment of the charter provisions of the 'Palestinian' organizations declaring the continued efforts to destroy Israel. And now we have an American policy-making speech that will no longer require the elimination of those 'death to Israel' provisions that the 'Palestinian's' live and die by. Many are likely declaring this speech a move forward in Middle East negotiations for peace. None are realizing the price tag on any attempt to bring this about will cost more than many can imagine. This will make the Oslo Accords and 'Road Map to Peace' look like training exercises in failed political policies by comparison. Understand where understanding is now more than ever necessary to keep the dogs of war at bay: this is not going to end well for those who think Israel needs to do more to keep their own peace.
